Ah, what a joyous journey it's been! Join me as I recall the vibrant tales, woven through my years as part of the Coin Street Community, which has left an indelible mark on my heart.
From the get-go in 2015, when I started my role at the OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie, every moment has been filled with warmth and camaraderie. Picture this: delivering healthy eating sessions with the spirited youth group at the Colombo Centre and joining hands on a community day to tantalize taste buds with wholesome treats.
The fun didn't stop there! Together we embarked on a heartfelt mission to support Mind, the mental health charity, by selling homemade jams and candles, spreading love and light throughout our beloved community. Oh, the adventures we've had! From nurturing young talents at Oasis Academy to embracing nature's beauty during a beach clean on Gabriel’s Wharf foreshore, every experience has been a treasure trove of connection and growth.
Let's not forget the little moments that added sparkle to our days; donating scallop shells and balloons for artsy escapades at the nursery or sharing giggles over coffee with the Young at Heart group in the Brasserie.
Through thick and thin we've stood together, weathering storms and celebrating triumphs. Even during the challenging times of lockdowns, our spirits remained high as we rallied around the OXO Community Kitchen, spreading comfort and nourishment to all in need.
And oh, the art! After Covid lockdowns lifted, witnessing the breathtaking creations of the local arts group was a testament to the resilience and creativity that thrives within our community.
As I reflect on these cherished memories, I'm filled with gratitude for the boundless joy and camaraderie that have enriched my journey.
